Disclosed are monomers of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R is <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> R' is hydrogen or methyl; R'' is alkyl of 1-10 carbon atoms; X and Y are independently selected from the group consisting of NO2, halogen, cyano and -CF3; Z is oxygen or dicyanomethylene; A AND A' CAN RANGE FROM 0-3; AND N IS 1-10.
