<p>The compsn. comprises (A) a liq. carrier comprising water, (B) a triorganotin cpd of formula R3SnY or (R3Sn)2Z (where R is phenyl, opt. with inert substituents, Y is selected from halogen, nitrate, OH and gps. obtd. by removing the carboxyl gp. from a not >20C carboxylic acid and Z is O, S or sulphate) and (C) an emulsified water-insol. film-forming polymer. Cpds (B) can be used in aq. systems without coagulating (C) unlike prior trialkyl tin cpds. which could only be used with toxic, inflammable organic solvents.</p> |
