ICE STUD FOR SNOWMOBILE TRACKS AND METHOD A one-piece stud for an endless snowmobile drive track includes a hub having a sidewall that extends perimetrically about the longitudinal axis of the stud, the hub being adapted to be secured to the drive track, thereby mounting the stud on the drive track. A number of perimetrically disposed, ground engaging projections are formed integral with the sidewall and diverge from each other in a direction away from the sidewall, these projections extending radially outwardly from the sidewall at an acute angle to both the sidewall and the longitudinal axis of the stud. The stud is made in a series of steps including bending a portion of a star-shaped blank out of the plane of the blank to form curvilinear teeth and then bending part of the previously bent portion in an opposite direction to form a mounting hub.
