Metallisation of wooden frames - by rolling metal strip layers onto sections of frame

Shaped wood parts receive several layers of metal ribbon pressed on by flexible cylinders. The method of application varies with the particular shapes concerned. Particular care is taken when dealing with faces at right angles or with very sharp curves or acute angles. The metal ribbon is pressed in such a way as to adhere to the surface below it. The cylinders can deform elastically. There is a support for the metal ribbon which consist of paper. The wood parts are divided into sections to ease application of the layers.
