<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the displacement of an oil seal and to enlarge the contact surface area by fitting the oil seal in such a manner as to stride the joint surface between a front axle and hollow short cylinders. CONSTITUTION:A front axle 7 is placed so as to extend over full length between hollow short cylinders 5 and 6, with collars 10 therebetween. An annular groove 8 is formed in the peripheral surface of each of the cylinders 5 and 6, and each collar 10 is covered by an oil seal 9 of which one end is embedded in the groove 8. Of the oil seal 9, the portion embedded in the groove 8 is of fixed structure, while the portion around the axle 7 is of slidable structure. Sewage and sand cannot penetrate in because the oil seals 9 are fitted around the joint surfaces between the axle 7 and the cylinders 5 and 6. The fitting of the axle 7 through collars 10 causes an 0-ring to be needless and enables the joint surfaces to be of thick and large-area structure.</p> |
