The milling machine cuts grooves in universal joint core blocis, utilising a pivotable indexable table mounted on a sub-frame. Workpiece mountings are incorporated on the table, a piece loading and unloading station as well as rough and finish machining stations being located on the subframe on the table perimeter. The machining stations may each constitute a tool slide on a column, the column and the slide being capable of movements on table radii, and parallel to the table axis respectively. Screws actuated by sub-frame mounted motor and gear bos units may effect column displacement.
