The switch has a case containing an arc quenching chamber with arc quenching or cooling plates. There is a movable and a fixed contact between which an arc is pulled and transferred to the quenching plates where it is cooled and extinguished. IT has furtern an outlet channel for the arc quenching gases, and two terminals for conections. The arc quenching or cooling plates are installed in the area of the first terminal. The outlet channel is installed at the bottom of the case and the outlet vent is positioned near the second terminal.
