<p>A plastic container is blow moulded with a pouring spout. The spout s nestable within the container and can be pulled out to pouring position by a pull tab in the shape of a finger ring. A parison is inserted between mould sections. These include compression moulding die portions which grip a portion of the parison in order to mould the tab. A memory bias is imparted to the tab, so that it will deform resiliently to lie flat on top of the container when the spout is pushed in. The tab s moulded at an angle to a line (A) perpendicular to the axis of the spout. It is also moulded with an angular twist about the axis of the tab. Used e.g. for petroleum prods. or chemicals. A particular use is for pouring into locations which are difficult of access, such as pouring oil into an I.C. engine. Interference with stacking and handling is prevented.</p> |
