The sailing boat hull has a centre plate (8) and a flat bottom (3) on either side of the keel. The hull is formed with two longitudinal grooves (4, 7) which run from a point behind the stem to the trnsom. The grooves are nearly parallel to the keel being wider apart at the stern. The leeward groove when beating to windward will act as a centreline keel and allow the vessel to point higher.
|
