The dynamo electric machine rotor has conducting material end ring designed to form a circuit for the rotor current. The end ring or rings (15, 17) have a surface (19) approx. perpendicular to the rotor axis of rotation. A counterweight support (21, 23) forms parts of hte end ring (15). The support projects w.r.t. the surface (19) of the end ring so as to receive a balancing counterweight (25-31). The end ring surface (19) has a throat (33) which surrounds the counterweight support. An internal edge of the throat progressively connects the ring surface to the counterweight support. This connection gives to the counterweight support structure which enables it to resist the forces applied to it during discontinuous rotational movements of the rotor.
|
