Haymaking machine comprises a rotor made up of a number of identical components in the from of arms (248) formed from strip or sheet material which radiate from a hub (233). The arms are interconnected by an annular support ring (251) and carry working members in the form of tines (255). The position of these tines can be adjusted by a member (256) and setting plate (257). Pref. the arms are broadened along their length so they can be connected together by bolts without using the ring. During operation member (256) is in either one of two upwardly extending cavities in the lower edge of the setting plate. It is manually moved out of one cavity by a downward deformation and elastic deformation of coils (254) around the tine carrier.
