In apparatus comprising a sensor 1, for instance a deceleration sensor, connected by a cable to an electrical ignition device 2 for igniting pyrotechnic ignition composition 7 for actuating means for restraining occupants of a vehicle, at least one suppressor choke 8, 11 disposed as near as possible to the ignition device is designed to have a predetermined frequency response co-ordinated with the length of the cable. A choke 8 may be disposed in the signal-input connection to the ignition device. Another choke 11 may be disposed in a reference-voltage connection thereto.
