Heat exchanger tube slotted rib plate - has inclined slots for gas flow between tube holes

The heat exchanger tube rib plate has openings for connecting to transverse tubes. Heat exchanger tubes carry a liquid and the slotted ribs are held in the region carrying a gas. High heat transfer efficiency is ensured. The slots (26) in a plate are arranged at angle between the rows of tube holes. The tube holes can be arranged in parallel square pattern or in staggered pattern and slots are inclined along lines joining tube hole centres.
