A photoelectric pyrometer for the temp. measurement of workpieces of small transverse dimensions which can oscillate relative to the optical axis, e.g. rolled, drawn or annealed wires, is fitted with a photoelectric converter in the focusing plane for a condenser which is focused to the opening of the fixed diaphragm of the objective and produces two sequences of trapezoidal output pulses of variable duration and mark space ratio. After conversion to rectangular pulses, these are passed to a store and comparator. This produces readings of better accuracy and is independent of alterations in the transverse dimensions of the wire and in the distance from it.
|
