摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable formation of a compaction hole (drilling process) to be effectively performed when waste volume is reduced by forming a compaction hole (non-discharge excavation hole) in a disposal field where a ground-water level is high such as a waste disposal field in a landfill.SOLUTION: In a waste volume reduction method, in a waste disposal field, a non-discharge excavation hole is formed by a drilling device comprising a compaction and drilling part having an excavation blade 231 and a compaction trowel (a compaction part 24) at the tip of a casing body, and this drilling process is followed by refilling process for charging waste in the non-discharge excavation hole to be refilled, and the drilling process and refilling process are successively repeated so as to reduce waste volume in the waste disposal field. In the method, the lower end part of the casing body 1 is sealed and a liquid substance (water and slurry) is introduced or injected in the casing body 1 according to the ground-water level so as to perform drilling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
