Load-controlled air-brake valve - has fail=safe control providing normal braking and pressure control and modulating valves in common housing

The air brake control valve comprises a membrane controlled device in which the pressure is controlled w.r.t. the axle load sensor up to a set pressure, above which the rear brakes are progressively modulated. A fail-safe interlock provides unmodulated braking if the load sensors fail. The fail-safe controls enable the driver to stop the vehicle in a min. distance according to his judgement. The pressure control and modulating valves are contained in a common housing for a fast brake response.
