NC machine tool with multiple tooling system - has necessary data stored to select null point for each tooling system

The N C machine tool has a sensor reference point (R) which is defined by ordinates (L1, Q1) w.r.t. the tool system null point (I). The computer then determines the required position of the tool at the point (P) with ordinates (L) and (Q). With different tooling systems the null point changes, which involves a resetting of the input data to the computer. This task is eliminated by storing the necessary information for each tooling system in the computer so that when the tooling system is changed, the computer automatically selects the correct null point.
