Accelerated weather testing of samples in open air - involves use of artificial UV radiation at night and IR in cold weather

Samples (5) placed on or fastened to a support (4) are exposed in daytime to natural radiation and weather conditions. At dusk, darkness or at night they are exposed to an artificial optical radiation from one or more radiation sources (1) emitting ultra-violet or super-actinic radiation. They are exposed during the whole test duration to the natural climatic conditions, as in 2423052. During dusk, darkness or night and/or when the sample temp. drops below 18 deg.C, pref. below 10 deg.C, the sample is heated by one or more radiation sources (2) emitting mainly infra-red radiation.
