PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the partial corrosion of a heat transfer pipe etc., by providing an overflow pipe near a free liquid level in normal operation and discharging low-purity sodium from the vicinity of the free liquid level. CONSTITUTION:In normal operation, the liquefied sodium level between a heat- insulating plate 8 and an inner shroud 11 is slightly higher than that in the inner shroud 11. An overflow port 18 is previously provided at the higher sodium level. The tip of the overflow pipe 17 is opened near a sodium outlet nozzle 15 wherein the velocity of the flowing sodium becomes relatively high. In normal operation, the low-purity sodium near the free liquid level flows into the overflow pipe 17 through the overflow port 18 and is discharged through the sodium outlet nozzle 15. This results in effectively preventing the partial corrosion of the heat transfer pipe of relatively small thickness etc. |
