PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and durability, while simplifying the construction, by recording a copy number code in a disk, which is connected to a copy number setting dial, and by reading the recorded code in a non-contact manner. CONSTITUTION:The shaft 2 of a copy number setting dial knob 1 is formed with such click stop teeth 5 as are made engageable with a click leaf spring 6 and is connected to an opaque disk 4 which is formed with a number of holes 3. There are provided a light emitting element 7 and a light receiving element 8, while interposing the disc 4, to make it possible to read out the information of plural bits. As a result, if the dial knob 1 is turned to set a desired number of copies, the output of the element 8 is fed to a transistor 21 and an inverter 22 so that the binary code appears in the output terminal of a binary counter 25. If the copying operation is started, the load signals are fed to a load terminal 27 so that the binary code is loaded in the counter 25. Each time the copying operation is finished, the content of the counter 25 is reduced. |
