PURPOSE:To prevent the intake of the air by the procedure in which a downward exhaust duct is provided at the exhaust port of vertical radiation type recuperators provided at each upper exhaust port of direct firing type batchwise annealing furnace, and then the final exhaust port of the duct is positioned below the exhaust port of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:The vertical radiation type recuperator 9 is provided at each upper exhaust port 18 of the outer cylinder 6 of a direct firing type batchwise annealing furnace for metal strip coil, and the downward exhaust duct 24 is connected to the exhaust port 13 of the recuperator 9 in such a way that the final exhaust port 25 of the duct 24 is poritioned below the exhaust port 18 of the furnace. The air to be preheated is sent to the recuperator 9 from the inlet 14 through the annular tube 20 and the tube 21 by the blower 19 to preheat it by heat exchange and then supplied to the burner 7 through the tube 22 from the outlet 16. Thus, even if the exhaust balance of each exhaust duct was broken, the balance can soon be restored naturally and thus the intaking phenomenon of the air can be completely prevented and the energy-saving effect of the recuperator can also be raised. |
