Compsns. for treatment of psoriasis containing 0.1-15 wt. /vol.% of poly-yne alkanoic acids of formula (I) or their alkyl esters with a pharmaceutical support. CH3-(CH2)m-(C C-CH2)a-(CH2)b-COOH (I) (where m is 4-9, a is 2-5 and b is 0-8 (pref. m is 4, a is 3 and b is 5 or a is 4 and b is 2). Also claimed are compsns. for treatment of psoriasis contg. 0.01-2 wt./vol. % of cpds. (I) or their alkyl esters and 0.1-15 wt./vol. % a prostaglandin chosen from PGE1, PGE2, PGE3 13, 14-dihydro-PGE1 and their 1-8C alkyl esters. The compsns. may be administered orally, rectally, parenterally, by inhalation or topically using classical formulations e.g. the compsns. of (a) are applied topically in compsns. contg. 0.1-15 wt/vol.% or are administered orally or parenterally using compsns. contg. 0.1-10 wt./vol. % to give daily doses of 0.1-5g. |
