<p>A machine to spread a filling paste on pastry such as wafers counts the number of the arriving pieces and adjusts the spreading speed accordingly. The amount of the paste, spread over the wafers, is controlled in addition by the weight of the finished stack of wafers. The machine achieves uniform results in spite of the fluctuating flow rate to suit variations in the speed of the preceding bakery equipment. Specifically a belt conveyor takes the wafers to a switch which can be set by a motor either to conveyor. Both run faster than the spreader so that the single wafers are pushed into a continuous strand.</p> |
