Twisted yarn draw-off funnel has a bell mouth portion surrounded by an annular portion spaced from the portion by an annular gap. Portion is arranged to be adjusted and fixed with a grub screw in the adjusted posn. Adjustment takes place from the base of the rotor, at which posn. the contours of the portions define a hyperbola or an arc, to a posn. axially away from the base at which the portion is disposed within the portion. Adjustment of the draw-off funnel relative to the spinning rotor base permits of avoiding damage to the yarns due to thermal effects. Fibres which are difficult to spin in known devices can be spun to yarns having satisfactory quality.
