PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning optical device that suppresses a deviation of a light reception face due to deformation of a housing, and correctly detects a light beam.SOLUTION: A scanning optical device comprises: a side wall 51 that is provided in at least a part of an outer periphery of a housing 50; a light pass unit 511 that is formed in the side wall 51 so that a light beam passes through; a fixing unit 512 that fixes a light reception unit 482 to the side wall 51 so that the light beam passing through the light pass unit 511 is incident upon a light reception face 481; and a structure body 55 that connects to the side wall 51. The structure body 55 is provided on an opposite side having the fixing unit 512 and the side wall 51 separated, or between the fixing unit 512 and the light pass unit 511.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
