PURPOSE:To enable a reduction in noise, by locating air flow ports at a unit outer casing and also by forming a heat exchanger ina circular arc. CONSTITUTION:No.1 air flow ports 18 are situated at a upper surface, both side surfaces and a bottom surface of an outer casing 11 of an outdoor unit, and a No.2 air flow port 19 at a front surface. An auxiliary air flow port 20 is located at the front surface as occasion demands. A heat exchanger 16 is composed of a nearly circular arc portion 22 facing a base plate 21, which forms a bottom surface of the outer casing 11, a partly flat portion 23 being the side of the heat exchanger, and a straight line portion 24 locating opposite to and facing the upper surface of the casing. When an axial flow fan 15 rotates, this causes the air to be sucked through the No.1 air flow port 18 and to be blown off through the auxiliary air flow port 20, and allows the device to be prevented from a decrease in heat exchange efficiency and also permits noise to be reduced. |
