Disclosed is a method of producing butanol comprising: producing fructose by saccharifying a biomass and contacting the saccharifed biomass with a microorganism/enzyme isomerization agent (e.g., xylose isomerase) to convert the fructose to butanol. The fructose produces triglycerides which protect the microorganism during the fermentation process. |
