<p>A process for preparing a high purity p-vinylphenol polymer which comprises dehydrogenating crude p-ethylphenol containing at least one of m-ethylphenol and o-ethylphenol to convert the ethylphenol(s) to vinylphenol(s), polymerizing the resulting crude product without removing the o- and/or m-vinyl-phenols, and purifying the resulting polymerization product.</p> |
