PURPOSE:To enable display types to be freely selected to match the taste and feeling by making the functions of a decoder multifunctional and selecting the functions with a selection circuit. CONSTITUTION:A counter circuit 2 counts the second, minute, hour, etc, by the reference pulses from a reference oscillator and the outputs thereof are supplied to a selection circuit 3. The above circuit 3, controlled by the signal S2 outputted from a control circuit 4 through opening and closing of a switch SW2, changes over the outputs of the counter circuit 2 and applies the same to either of a decoder 5 having plural inputs. If this decoder 5 has function of converting, e.g., 4 display systems, a desired display type may be selected and displayed by the signal S2. It is also possible to convert the display types at each opening and closing of the switch S2. Further if the counter circuit and decoder are made to programmable ones, the user is able to set the display system and function as desired according to his own taste. |
