Thromboxane inhibition with Burimamide

The disclosure describes a method for selectively inhibiting thromboxane biosynthesis with Burimamide, a compound previously known to be a histamine H2-receptor blocker. The discovery is useful in the treatment of a number of cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases in which thromboxane biosynthesis is involved.
