PURPOSE:To ensure continuation of the system operation even in case the specified processor becomes faulty by securing the process of the specified function via either one of plural processors of the information process system. CONSTITUTION:When processor 1 is operable to the system function, it always performs the system function regardless of the state of processor 2 and 3. In case processor 1 is faulty and processor 2 is workable, the system function is carried out by processor 2 regardless of the state of processor 3. When both processors 1 and 2 are faulty, the system function is carried out by processor 3. In other wods, only a unit of the processor performs the system function at all times. In this connection, the information processor itself decides automatically a unit of the processor which has to carry out the system function. Furthermore, even in case the specified processor becomes faulty, the process is switched automatically to other workable processors. |
