A method was described for manufacturing of veneer boards from pulp scrap. The pulp scrap contg. 8-10% (by wgt.) water content was treated with 10-50% rosin-modified phenol resin and 3-15% acid catalyst such as P-toluenesulfonic acid, H3-PO4 or HCl to improve cellulose comp. of the scrap. The resulting material was pressed to 50kg/cm2 at 130-150≦̸C for 40-60min. to give water-resistant veneer boards.
