<p>A number of roll stands having non-forming and a number of die stands having non-driven material engaging rollers which transform material from an initial configuration to a desired configuration, as in parent patent, has a die stand which comprises a rigid frame secured to an elongate rigid spine. A plate carries >=1 forming member to at least partially transform the material and a second plate rigidly secured to the frame carries a second forming member. Rotating the lead screw changes the roll, the position of the plates thus changing the roll forming configuration of the machine. The sub-die-stands are selectively repositionable w.r.t. material path, thus changing roll-forming configuration.</p> |
