PURPOSE:To produce a video disc of stable quality and high reliability by using the composition which contains the specific carbon black and vinyl chloride base polymer and has the specific electrical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Acetylene base or furnace base carbon black of mean particle sizes 100 to 600 Angstrom (preferably 100 to 450 Angstrom ) and a vinyl chloride base polymer (vinyl chloride polymer, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, etc.) of degrees of polymerization 300 to 700 (preferably 350 to 600) and if necessary, a stabilizer such as organic tin compound, fatty acid base lubricant, etc. are compounded and kneaded to form the composition of volume resistivity 10<3>OMEGAcm or under and electrostatic capacity 1.5nF(1MHz, 20mV) or over. This composition as a raw material is molded in compliance with record disc production techniques to produce the video disc. The contents of the above-mentioned vinyl chloride base polymer in the video disc structural body are preferably about 50 to 80%. |
