The gas from fiber heating was treated in wet elec. dust collector to sep. the oil, the collected oil is rinsed with water, and the oil and water were sepd. The oil contains decompd. material, monomers, and oligomers of various synthetic fibers. Thus, 0.5% oil-contg. polyethylene terephthalate fiber (1500 denier) was heat-treated at 350≦̸C, the gas contg. 0.385g oil/m3 was treated in the elec. dust collector. The collected oil was rinsed with water, the rinse was sepd. to obtain 40l oil.
