<p>The moving tape detritus extractor may be used in sewerage installation, the combs ascending and passing between ramped staggered parallel toe and head pans. A grill form toe pan is utilised, comprising parallel bars traversed by the teeth of the combs, and locating upstream of the comb trajectory. The head pan is of contiguous plate, being located downstream of the comb trajectory, and extending basally to overlap the toe pan. Detritus is, thus extracted from the effluent by the combs traversing the toe pan, then being pushed up and off the head pan. The combs may have vertical teeth projecting from a horizontal bar, the latter spanning rollers guided by lateral channels, and being coupled to one another in a motor driven enedless chain.</p> |
