<p>The ring setting (8) for superimposed gemstones (2, 3) consists of a conical piece (9) which is perforated or is solid. The top (10) is funnel-shaped and has grips or a continuous edge (12) curved over the rim of the stone. The narrow bottom part (11) of the setting comprises an axial, threaded tube (13) in which is a screw (20). The screw (20) rests against the ring when tightened. The inner surface of the ring has a facing (22) which is coaxial with the hole (19) and is wide and deep enough to take the cylindrical head (23) of the screw (20).</p> |
