The connector for intravenous feeding has a rigid ferrule (8) contg. a filter element (7) extending across the bore of the ferrule. A section at each end (9, 10) is conically tapered to provide min. dias. at opposite extremities of the ferrule. The two ends (9, 10) are pushed tightly into two flexible tubes to be connected. The outside of the ferrule has a central, annular collar to serve as an abutment between connected tubes. The filter element is pref. a mesh sheet of metal, textile or plastics threads.
