The insert is formed from three tubes (1) bent into a U shape and placed with the arms of the U horizontal. The lower ends are held together by a header plate (2) and the upper ends are held in a second header plate (4). The three tubes can be parallel or inclined to each other according to the arrangement of the header plates. The insert is placed within the fireplace with the inlet at the bottom and the warm air discharge at the top. A standard prefabricated insert can be put in any fireplace without specially manufactured parts being needed.
