摘要 PURPOSE:To give composite wire excellent cold cracking resistance by adding specific amounts of one or more of Te, Se, and Tl, together specific amounts of one or more of are earth elements and the other deoxidizers to the sheath metal or filling flux for wire. CONSTITUTION:Specific amounts of one or more of Te, Se, and Tl, together with specific amounts of one or more of rare earth elements(Y, Sc, and the elements of the atomic numbers of 57 to 71) and the other requisite deoxidizing elements(Mn, Al, Mg, or Si) are added to the sheath metal and filling flux for wire in the range of the formula, 0.0015% (Te, Se, and Tl) in wire sheath + (Te, Se, and Tl) in 1/10 filling flux 0.15%; 0.002% rare earth elements in sheath metal of wire + rare earth elements in 1/6 filling flux 0.2%. The composite wire is applicable to no-gas welding, gas-shielded welding, and submerged arc welding, giving structural steel weld higher cold cracking resistance.
