<p>A metallic-tone decorative plate which exhibits a patterned surface of metal material is fabricated from a decorative base plate consisting of a substrate layer and a metal foil layer. The metal foil is partially removed by etching to form a pattern. A synthetic resin is used to fill the recessed portions of the pattern to reinforce the delicate-patterned, thinned metal portions, formed by etching, where they are adhered to the substrate layer, whereby the resin serves as an ornamental constituent that fills the spaces between the metal foil and the substrate layer. </p> |
