<p>The buccal obturator for artificial respiration of patients comprises a deformable elliptic plate (2) surrounded with a tyre (1). Said tyre is formed by an air chamber provided with an air supply pipe (3) and composed of an elastic sheet. A tube (4) goes through the center portion of the plate (2). The buccal obturator is placed in the dentilabial space of the lower and upper jaws of a patient. The tyre provides a sealed closure with the outside of the buccal cavity in cooperation with the gum, the lips and the cheeks. An air current through the tube reaches the respiratory tract of the patient and comes out also through the tube, from the respiratory tract towards the outside. </p> |
