The equipment unloads, stores and extracts material stored in rolls, e.g. paper, sheet-metal etc. At the lorry unloading point(2) is a ramp (1) movable in the lengthwise direction and adjustable for height, its width being roughly equal to the diameter of the rolls to be accommodated, and parallel to the ramp a storage truck (5) travels in the lengthwise direction on a track (4). The rolls are rolled over onto it to form a lengthwise stack (3). The truck has an erection mechanism swinging the stack of rolls up into an upright position. On the storage area surface (10) are a number of conveyors running at right angles to the track and receiving the upright roll stacks, which they transport into the final storage positions.
