A process for producing elongated, continuous sheets or webs having an embossed or textured surface at least a portion of which is in registration with a coloured design, in which a pattern or design of at least one heat-foamable plastisol is printed on a substrate and gelled, the printed and gelled plastisols are over-printed by at least one and preferably a plurality of colours in registration with the respective plastisol designs preferably by a plurality of sequential rotogravure printers; and heat is applied to foam the plastisol(s). Registration between the foamable plastisols and the overprint is therefore maintained even if the substrate is dimensionally unstable during processing. |
