The hot water preparing plant has an insulated water boiler connected to a condenser of compressor operated heat pump. The condensation pressure in the circuit can be readily limited without intervention in the refrigerant circulation. The heat losses in the water boiler are kept equal to the heat transferred by the condenser at an optionally selected maximum pressure of the refrigerant. The condenser is in the lower part of the water boiler. The thermal conductivity o the insulation in this lower part of the boiler is lower than in the upper part. The thermal insulation may be entirely absent in the lower part.
