The hair curler consists of a main part (1) on which the hair curl is held in position by means of a clamp (2) which can be moved onto and off the main part (1). The clamp (2) pivots on the main part (1) of the curler, and can be moved axially towards it. The main part (1) of the curler has a disc (10, 11) on each end, between which is the space for the curl. The clamp (2) is pivot-hinged to one of the discs (10, 11). The pivot mounting of the clamp (2) can be the axle of the main curler part (1), or an extra disc (3) or clasp.
