<p>The system opens a capsule containing gas under pressure, as used in the drinks industry etc. A pin (15) for use once only, and without a groove for the gas escape, its diameter varying, is thrust through a part of the capsule (20) or a membrane sealing it, so as to open it. By moving the pin, part of the opening formed is then freed to allow gas escape. A twist drill can be used as the pin, rotated as it is thrust through the membrane etc. Pin and capsule can be spring-loaded apart.</p> |
