The coffin fitting with handle has a bar forming the handle pivoting in eyes formed in the heads of tow fixing screws, its pivoting movement being limited by a stop. Each end of the handle (2) forms a trunnion, and has a cranked portion (24) connected to the trunnion. A face (33) is formed on the eye parallel to the trunnion, against which the cranked portion of the handle bears when swung out. The faces can be on the sides of the eyes towards each other.
