PURPOSE: To reduce the number of pixels for a prescribed resolution to be sensed by constituting a pixel array of plural adjacent groups of a pixel concerned, providing each pixel group with pixels of a 1st color more than pixels of a 2nd color and setting the resolution of the 1st color to a value larger than the resolution of the 2nd color. CONSTITUTION: In the array of pixels, green pixels 10 are more than red pixels 6 or blue pixels 8. Namely the green pixels 10 are divided into adjacent pixel groups of which resolution is higher than that of red or blue pixels. Each red pixel 6 and each blue pixel 8 are twice the straight size of the green pixel 10, i.e., twice the width and high of the green pixel 10. Consequently the structure of the display device is simplified, the number of individual pixels is reduced and an interval between a a column address and a line is increased. |
