Thin layer chromatograms are developed several at a time in cell with provision at base for introduction of the necessary solvent. Once the chromatogram is developed, the solvent is expelled and the vapour space filled with an inert gas. If several different analyses are to be carried out, different solvents can be used. The gas can be heated to complete the development. It is distributed from passages in the roof of the cell. For use within layer chromatography for analysis. Allows simultaneous development of several samples, if necessary with different solvent, and storage of the finished chromatograms in the cell.
